Consecration, celebration and empowerment
Sun 15th – Mon 16th July 2018
at Danakosha Ling, Forssantie 37, Jokioinen
We are very happy to announce that our temple is becoming complete and very traditional. Especially, we have a very wonderful statue of Buddha Shakyamuni from India, and a great Guru Padmasambhava statue from China.Traditionally the filling up of statues is very important, and we have filled our statues with precious and holy substances from Tibet and from great masters. Therefore these are very blessful and wonderful statues both externally and internally – it’s very rare to find similar in Finland. When a temple is completed, it’s traditional for the whole sangha to gather to do a consecration and celebrate. We have decided to have the consecration, party and an empowerment on July 15th – 16th 2018. The third year of the five year course on Relaxing in the nature of mind is finished on 14th, and right after that Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche and Venerable Khenpo Pema Rangjung will do a consecration of the temple and the statues on the morning of 15th at 9 am. We will have a great party from lunch until evening. We have performances planned, and everyone is also welcome to give their performances of singing, playing instruments etc. You can stay overnight. Venerable Khenpo Pema Rangjung will kindly bestow the empowerment of Guru Rinpoche in the morning of 16th at 9 am. This is the first empowerment to be given in this precious land. This is a very auspicious time for the empowerment because 16th is the festival of Buddha’s turning of the wheel of dharma. We wish to gather as many participants as possible, because this is a very special event. The program finishes at 11 am. Venerable Khenpo Pema Rangjung is a khenpo from Dzogchen Shri Singha university. Please read more at his website dzogchenkhenpo.org Please register by July 9th by filling the form at https://goo.gl/forms/4ZAB6JDIbi2sNyIN2 Attendance is free of charge. at Toimela at Laivurinkatu 35, Helsinki
Bardo is used to refer to the state between death and rebirth. In Tibetan Buddhism, this in-between state is seen as a precious opportunity to reach liberation as the coarse forces of this life cease to apply. Furthermore, bardo can refer to any transitional state, many of which can occur even in this very life and can thus be utilized to reach enlightenment. This teaching is especially useful for new dharma practitioners. Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche also gives refuge vows to those having requested. You can also request other vows from Rinpoche, such as five lay vows, bodhichitta vow or a vow of vegetarianism. If you are taking vows, please bring a ceremonial khata scarf to be offered to the Lama. Schedule: Prices: We organize carpools. Karma yoga: Construction works at Danakosha Ling
Fri 5th May 2017 – Sun 4th June 2017
at Danakosha Ling, Forssantie 37, Jokioinen, Finland
As you know, Danakosha has gotten a wonderful place in the mid-point of the three major cities in south-western Finland. We emphasize being an authentic Buddhist center for study and practice, for students from all over the world, and particularly for northern Europe. There are very few Tibetan Buddhist centers in northern Europe. In this center we will offer summer courses and annual retreats, such as traditional drubchens and many other events. In order for everything to go smoothly for the participants and organizers, we need to build rooms for accommodation, take care of the environment, and establish symbolic monuments of Buddhism, such as temples, stupas, mani wheels, etc. We need many people to help, particularly those with skills in construction. Our karma yoga program will take place between May 5th 2017 to June 4th 2017, and you can come for any time that is suitable for you. We offer accommodation and food for the voluntary workers. The supervisor of the project will be Jarkko Soihtu. It would also be of great help if you have extra bathroom or kitchen furniture, which you can donate. We need for example faucets, toilet seats, sinks, an industrial dishwasher, a big fan-assisted oven, industrial hotplates or a gas stove, refridgerators, chest freezers, possibly a soup kitchen, a wood-burning stove, a big paella pan, etc. Suggest freely. We would be happy to know as soon as you know if you can come to help in the renovations. Please contact us to info@danakosha.fi |

Konchog Chidu Drubchod retreat
Fri 26th December 2014 – Thu 1st January 2015
at Danakosha Dharma Center
Danakosha Finland has a great joy to announce that Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche will lead a Konchok Chidu drubchod retreat in Finland from December 26th 2014 to January 1st 2015. Drubchod is an especially powerful group retreat, and its purpose is to pacify all abstacles, obscurations and sicknesses, increase virtues, accumulate merit, and increase prosperity for all sentient beings and particularly our own surroundings. It is important to do positive actions when the year changes. If you have had a great year, it’s a result of your own virtuous actions and a blessing of the three jewels and three roots, so we thank them for their kindness, and wish that the next year will be equally auspicious. If the year has been difficult, we wish the difficulties end, and new good things happen in the next year. The great treasure master Jatson Nyingpo This is Danakosha’s yearly winter drubchod retreat. It’s a very important event and we wish that there will be many participants, and that particularly all members of Danakosha’s sangha participate. Konchok Chidu means the “Embodiment of the Precious Ones.” It is a Guru Rinpoche practice which encompasses all the Three Roots – outer peaceful Padmasambhava as the Guru, inner wrathful Padmasambhava as the Yidam, and secret Padmasambhava in the form of Simhamukha as the Dakini, as well as a long life form of Padmasambhava. The terma was discovered by the terton Jatson Nyingpo, a reincarnation of Nyongben Tingzin Zangpo, a close student of Padmasambhava, who attained the rainbow body. Konchog Chidu is a very profound and wide cycle of teachings, and it is one of the highest and most secret way of accomplishing Padmasambhava’s mind. You can read more about Konchog Chidu here. Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche is the spiritual director of the Danakosha Dharma Center, and he is the first Tibetan Buddhist lama to reside permanently in Finland by the request of his disciples. He has received teachings from the most prominent Buddhist teachers of our time, such as Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen Rinpoche and Kyabje Tsetrul Rinpoche. He has graduated from Mindrolling Monastery’s college as a certified holder of sutric and tantric teachings. Schedule: 26.12. Starts at 18:00 27.12. – 31.12. 1.1.2015 Location: Danakosha Dharma Center, Museokatu 17 A, 00100 Helsinki, Finland. Price: 150 €, or 120 € for students and the unemployed. Saga Dawa festival
Fri 13th – Sun 15th June 2014
at Rangjung Ösel retreat centre, southern Finland
Danakosha has the great joy to announce that Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche has very kindly agreed to give a teaching on chöd practice and bestow an empowerment on Yumka Dechen Gyalmo from June 13th to 15th 2014, in connection with Saga Dawa festival, the festival of Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana. The teaching focuses on the meaning of chöd. The teaching is given at Rangjung Ösel retreat centre in southern Finland. Chöd refers to cutting through the grasping at a self and its attendant emotional afflictions. It’s most famous as a teaching on trancedent generosity by transforming the aggregates into an offering for deities and for demons as a compassionate act of self-sacrifice. Chöd aims to free the mind from all fear and to arouse realization of its true nature, primordially clear bliss and emptiness. It is a powerful tool for healing all kinds of ailments, both physical and mental. The chöd practice was originally taught by the yogini Machig Labdron. She was and is both a dakini and a deity, an emanation of Yeshe Tsogyal and Yum Chenmo, or Prajnaparamita, the embodiment of the wisdom of the buddhas. Historically, this Tibetan woman, a contemporary of Milarepa, was an adept and outstanding teacher, a mother, and a founder of a unique transmission lineage. In the Longchen Nyingthik tradition the practice of chöd does not require empowerment, only oral transmission. However, as a gesture of kindness Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche will offer the empowerment of the Longchen Nyingthik dakini Yumka Dechen Gyalmo as a powerful support to the students who have requested to learn the chöd practice. Schedule: The teachings are open for Buddhists. We serve a breakfast, lunch and dinner, 5 euros each. Please let us know in your registration whether you participate in the meals. Accommodation: ask Huija (huija@outlook.com) for accommodation indoors, or you can camp in your own tent, or book a cheap room in Kestikievari Kopparnäs (0400 701159). Recommended offering to the Lama: 120 € / 100 € (members, students, unemployed) We organize carpools. Please let us know if you need a ride or can provide one, and where you depart from. Please register by June 6th. |
