2023 Summer Course: Understanding the Three Jewels with Mipham Rinpoche
Rinpoche gives 7 day teachings on Mipham Rinpoche’s commentary, “Inexhaustible Auspiciousness”
The Sutra of Recollection of the Three Jewels (Ratnakuta Sutra) is a profound and essential Buddhist text that guides us to fully understand the Three Jewels: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. The Three Jewels are the essence of all sutra, tantra, and dzogchen. All teachings arise from the Three Jewels and ultimately dissolve back into them. As Buddha Shakyamuni himself proclaimed, merely hearing about the Three Jewels can prevent rebirth in the lower realms, while those who genuinely contemplate and practice their teachings will find a path to the island of liberation. This sutra is therefore a powerful tool to help us recognize the precious opportunity of human life.
During this special teaching series, Rinpoche will be giving commentary on Mipham Rinpoche’s “Inexhaustible Auspiciousness,” a renowned commentary that delves deep into the meaning and significance of the Sutra of Recollection of the Three Jewels. It is especially auspicious to receive teachings on the Three Jewels on Chokhor Duchen, the celebration of the Buddha’s first turning of the wheel of Dharma.
