Phurba / Vajrakilaya

Padmasambhava himself requested the Vajrakilaya empoverment from the Zahor Khenpo Prahasti. He replied: "Since I am not worthy to bestow empowerment on you, request the empowerment from the Jñanadakini at the Sosa Ling cremation ground in accordance with the prophesy."

Having done that, the Jñanadakini transformed Padmasambhava into the letter HUNG which she swallowed. Thus she bestowed the four empowerments at her four places perfectly. At the secret place, she explained the entire Vajrakilaya tantra text and the oral instructions.

Later, in order to tame obstacles, he brought two man's loads of volumes of the Dharma cycle of Vajrakilaya from India to Parping in Nepal. While accomplishing the supreme Vidyadhara of Mahamudra there, he tamed all obstacles.

If one divides this tantra into 36 sections, there are 4 tantras that are like the root, there are 4 tantras that are like the trunks, there are 10 small tantras that are like the branches, there are 3 tantras that are like the leaves, there are 4 tantras that are like the beautiful flowers and 4 tantras that are like the ripening fruit.

Moreover, from the 3 supplementary tantras, showing the meaning of the oral instructions in detail, there is the innermost essence in the form of the 7 heart tantras such as the vajrakhrodha etc. arranged in the Summary of Meditation Instructions on Vajrakhroda.

The marvelous profound meaning known as Phur Drub Thug kyi Nyingkhu, The Accomplishment of Purbha, The Heart Elixir, had been made but not been expounded to anyone else.

However, when travelling to the South Western Rakshana continent (rNgag yab gling), Yeshe Tshogyal, teacher and a student came as escort. Considering the karmically fortunate student and the consort, he gave it to Lady Kharchen (Yeshe Tsogyal) as an escort reward.
