Her Holiness Mindrolling
Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche

Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche
We are thrilled to announce a truly remarkable occasion—the completion of the final step in constructing the magnificent Great Enlightenment Stupa at Danakosha Ling, Finland. Under the expert guidance of our esteemed teacher, Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche, every detail has been lovingly crafted in accordance with sacred traditions, resulting in a stupa of profound beauty and power.
To mark this historic milestone, we invite you to join us for an inspiring 5-day program featuring transformative teachings and practices. This special event will be overseen by Her Holiness Mindrolling Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche and Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche, along with Khenpos, nuns and monks from Mindrolling Monastery.
Her Holiness has graciously agreed to confer the Dorje Sempa empowerment—a revered rite in the sublime Mindrolling tradition—and to lead a traditional drubchod practice retreat with the global sangha at Danakosha Ling.
Whether you are a dedicated practitioner eager to experience the full program or a friend of the tradition wishing to witness the celebration, there is a place for you. The main inauguration will take place on August 4th!
The Great Liberation Enlightenment Stupa recently constructed in Finland is one of the largest stupas in Northern Europe. Its measurements, design, materials, and especially its inner relics and contents are of exceptional quality, built according to the traditional specifications described in stupa texts.
The stupa’s inner contents primarily include Buddha relics among the four types of relics, mandalas of the two pure aspects, over one thousand tsa-tsas containing one hundred and eight stupas, as well as mantras of the deities of the three roots, the Heart of Dependent Origination, the Five Great Dharanis, auspicious prayers and aspirations. Such comprehensively equipped stupas are extremely rare in the world.
The main purpose of this stupa is to:
According to tradition, a proper stupa must have three components:
The specific parts include:
The golden pinnacle represents the unified symbols of the Five Buddha Families, symbolizing how the precious teachings of the Buddha, both scripture and realization, spread in all directions, illuminating beings’ minds with the light of wisdom.
The benefits of stupas are infinite, as taught in many Buddhist scriptures. These include both temporary and ultimate benefits:
Temporary benefits include eighteen blessings such as:
Ultimate benefits include:
This translation aims to capture both the technical details and the profound spiritual significance of this remarkable stupa project.
Her Holiness Minling JetsĂĽn Khandro Rinpoche was born as the eldest daughter of the 11th throne holder of Mindrolling, Tri Gyurme Kunzang Wangyal. When she was about two years old, the 16th Karmapa Rigpe Dorje recognized her as the reincarnation of Khandro Rinpoche, the Great Dakini of Tsurphu. Her father, the great throne holder, raised her with immense love and bestowed upon her all the lineages of empowerments, transmissions, and essential instructions.
From Kyabje Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, she received numerous profound teachings including the complete Kama and Terma empowerments of the Nyingma (Early Translation) school, as well as Dzogchen teachings such as Gongpa Zangthal. From Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche, she received many empowerments, instructions and oral transmissions, particularly those of the Mindrolling lineage. Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche strongly urged her to take on the title and responsibilities of Mindrolling JetsĂĽnma, following the tradition of previous Mindrolling JetsĂĽnmas.
Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche was born on 25th November 1975 as a son of Venerable Lama Thubten Kalsang and Yongdu Wangmo. He was recognized by H.H. Mindrolling Trichen Rinpoche as the 3rd reincarnation of the Tibetan master Drubwang Rogza Sonam Palge Rinpoche. He was one of the heart-disciples of the first Dodrupchen Rinpoche and Do Khyentse Yeshe Dorje.
Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche is currently residing permanently in Finland where he is the founder and spiritual guide of Danakosha Ling, the mother dharma center of Rinpoche’s activity. He also guides Rangjung Osel retreat center, a private retreat center in southern Finland as well as Danakosha Sweden.

He frequently gives teachings to different levels of Buddhist practitioners and practices together with the sangha. Starting in 2016, Rinpoche kindly taught the entire Great Chariot, Relaxing in the Nature of Mind of the Great Perfection by Gyalwa Lonchen Rabjam, as well as the history of Buddhism to a group of fortunate students over the course of 6 years. His great generosity of teachings brings new wisdom of the path of enlightenment to people’s lives. His great knowledge, compassionate heart, dedicated nature and ability to guide beings are indeed very much appreciated.
Rinpoche also travels to different places in Europe, Asia and USA for giving teachings in different dharma centers. He is the first Tibetan Buddhist master residing permanently in Finland.
Great Vajrasattva Drubchod Retreat and Associated Consecration Ritual
In Tibetan Buddhism, the drubchod is an important gathering of great practitioners in the Tantric tradition, where the mandala of the deity is opened and both mental offerings and substances are offered, along with the practice of the generation and great perfection stages.
During the drubchod participants come together under the guidance of revered masters to engage in a series of meditative practices, recitations, and ritual acts. These activities symbolically sever the ties to habitual patterns and delusions, paving the way for a clearer understanding of one’s true nature.
The Minling Dorsem, or Mindroling Vajrasattva practice, revealed by Dharma King Terdak Lingpa, is a profound treasure teaching encompassing the essence of all buddha families, mandalas, deities, and mantras with limitless enlightened qualities. The Great Sutra of the United Intent of All Buddhas highlights seven benefits of merely hearing Vajrasattva’s name, including rebirth in a pure realm and developing supernatural powers.
This practice uniquely unifies Generation Stage, Completion Stage, and Dzogchen teachings, combining the heart essence of Guru Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra, and Vajra Humkara. Transmitted through a lineage beginning with Vajrasattva and passing to Terdak Lingpa, the treasure was discovered in Guru Rinpoche’s secret cave. Its blessings remain unbroken, and many masters have practiced it as their essential teaching, achieving realization and preserving its pure transmission.
The stupa will be consecrated through ritual, led by Her Holiness Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche and Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche, attended by monks and nuns and the entire sangha.
During the day, speeches will be held to mark this historical event as well as entertainment to add to the festive spirit.
Only attending during the consecration is free of charge but you should register and let us know if you would like to participate in the meals.
Those who have studied the Great Chariot, Relaxing in the Nature of Mind of the Great Perfection by Gyalwa Longchen Rabjampa will be conferred a certificate of completing their studies. There are two certificates, one being only the sutra part and one being the complete certificate of both sutra and tantra.

All students are required to attend.
For those who have completed six full years of study of the following texts authored by the crown jewel of Tibet’s ocean of accomplished scholars, the Lord of Victorious Ones Longchen Rabjam:
These great treatises cover:
The thorough examination of the Buddhist ground, path, and fruition. The presentation of the ground is compatible with science, the path aligns with psychology, and the fruition explains how to attain mental peace through liberation from the illness of afflictive emotions. Additionally, it encompasses the systems of:
All these culminate in the essential meaning of the Clear Light Great Perfection’s presentation of ground, path, and fruition. In essence, studying and practicing these profound instructional texts that distill the heart of all Buddhist scriptures and their commentaries through hearing, contemplation, and meditation is exclusively for individuals of exceptionally fortunate karma, not for everyone.
Two types of certificates will be conferred:
