Danakosha Ling membership
By becoming a member, you get several benefits as well as support the dharma activities in the west.
Being a Member
Danakosha Ling is a monastery that upholds the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. For this Dharma institution to remain and flourish for a long time without decline, it is extremely important that the gathering of the Sangha, the root support of the teachings grows, prospers and that harmony and pure discipline are maintained. We have two memberships of Danakosha Ling. The foundational level for newly entered Sangha members and the higher level inner mandala community of senior members.
Those who join the Mandala membership of Danakosha Ling should be people who have entered the gate of the Buddha’s teachings and followed the Dharma for a long time. They should have gained firm confidence in the meaning and principles of the teachings and who possess sincere and noble intension for the flourishing of the Buddha Dharma and for the happiness and well-being of sentient beings in general.
In particular, they should have the courage and strong sense of responsibility to development of Danakosha Ling’s Dharma activities flourish and remain for a long time in this world. They should also be those who has genuine aspiration and sincere dedication to upholding the lineage of the teachings of Danakosha Ling.
The support membership is for the people who want to be part of the sangha, practice and study as well as support Danakosha Ling. Anyone so inclined can join the support membership. The support members can give monthly offerings according to their generosity or support the Danakosha Ling in other ways.
- Can participate free of charge in the tsog and Buddha Shakyamuni practices, held at least three times a month
- Get member discount for our events and courses (when there is a discount)
- Are eligibile for Buddhist wedding, consecrated by Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche
- Support Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche’s activities
To be recognized as a Buddhist by the Finnish authorities, there is also a religious community membership for those who live in Finland and have Finnish personal identity code. You can download the form here: https://dvv.fi/en/membership-of-a-religious-community. The yearly membership fee for religious community membership is 35 € as of 2026.
